Ok, so we left on Wednesday, July 25th… Went to Best Buy and shit like that to get a camera and videotape and whatnot… Got on the road heading towards Philly… NYC traffic sucks… New Jersey sucks worse… Man, seriously, the whole state is a toxic shithole… Anyway, we finally make it to Philly… Great town…
Originally we were going to play at this club called The KillTime, but there was a last minute change of venue, and we ended up playing this kid’s basement called The CatBox… The other bands were really cool.. Captain Crash sticks in my mind… I ate an authentic Philly Cheesesteak… Nate & Brian wandered off to find food and when they came back, they said this dude had showed them pics of him with The Notorious B.I.G. and a ton of pics of Foxxxy Brown and a couple white girls taking it up the ass from some dude… And these were like real, genuine prints, not like faked or clipped out of a magazine or anything… We played fairly well, people seemed to dig us… Nate ended up at a crack house… They had chronic, Coke, Crack, Amyl Nitrate… I’m so pissed they didn’t bring me back anything…
After the show we went to A-Ron’s house in DE…Great place… The whole area has really cheap rent and the minimum wage is the same, so I’m sort of tossing around the idea of moving down there…
Anyway, the next day (July 26th) we sort of just went into town and walked around… Got breakfast at this really cool place… They had HUGE breakfasts for $1.69… 6 people got full meals and only paid $22.00 total… Fuckin’ rawk… What else did we do… Got porn magazines… We all went to see Cats & Dogs… Good flick if you ask me… Not the best, but good nonetheless… After that we went to The East End Cafe, which is where we were playing… The people there are fucking awesome… We all got free food which rocked… After that we went to Cecil County in Maryland to see a demolition derby at the county fair… Good times, Good times… It fuckin’ rawked when one of the cars went like halfway over the wall… Man, people are such hicks there, but I digress… AFter that we went back to the venue to play… We got a $30 bar tab, and I ended up drinking a pitcher of beer and like three long island iced teas in about 20 minutes… Now, let me giue you some background… Usually when I drink at the bar, it’s this watered down bullshit that doesn’t do anything for me… Not so in this place… Top shelf liqour all the way… I was fuckin’ TRASHED! Man, we played (and fucking sucked) but noone in that bar will soon forget the name Entrophy, ’cause we were probably one of the drunkest bands ever to grace their stage… After we played I stumbled around a bit, went outside, slumped down next to the cars and proceeded to puke my guts out for the next two hours.. Now, I don’t remember much, but people were staring at me, asking if I was gonna die… People wrote on me… Apparently I passed out and vomited in my sleep hahaha… That’s funny… I’m gonna die young… oh well… Finally they made me get up and get in the car to head off to North Carolina…
I passed out in the car, woke up at some Greyhound bus station somewhere… Proceded to go to the bathroom and puke my guts out some more… Fun times, kids, fun times…
I don’t remember much after that… I remember the beautiful landscape in North Carolina… haha, we drove on the Billy Graham Highway… puke …
So we finally get to Ashville, to the place where the show is and noone’s there… We go off, in search of someone who knows what’s up… J has an amazing instict for this sort of shit, and we end up at this deli/coffeeshop… And yes, there was someone who knew what was up with the show… I was dumbfounded… J’s rad like that… So we grab a bite to eat and then go to the local record store where the kid who booked the show works… We meet this other fucking weirdo named Lou who was a fucking nutcase… He ran out in the middle of the street with a hackey sack and started yelling “Look, I’m a hippy, I’m a hippy” to passers by… hehe… So anyway, we go back to the show… There were a decent ammount of kids there… The bands were cool, and there was a cool vegan couple cooking up good eats… Yeah, I ate some of a vegan burger and found it to be decent… Suprising… So finally after hours and hours of other bands we played… We did pretty well, and the kids who stayed around seemed to dig us, so I was happy… It was sort of lousy when Lou showed up and started threatening to stab everyone, but the kids took care of it well…
After the show we decided we needed to crash somewhere before driving to Tampa, so we went to the $29.99 a night motel right next to the highway… Fuckin’ classy, let me tell you… People drinking on the stairs when we got there… The same people still there when we woke up in the morning haha… People smashing glass in the parking lot and yelling at all hours of the night… Fub fun… I was too tired to care though, so whatever… In the drawers we found a pair of pants and a roach (like, the remains of a joint, not a bug, although I’m sure they were all over the place) … We got a wakeup call at 5:00am like we requested, but everyone woke up, collectively looked at each other and konked out again… I got up two hours later and woke up the rest of the goons, and we headed out on the long trip to Florida…
The trip from NC to FL was long, but the scenery was really nice… The weather was beautiful, what more could I ask for…
It was a really happy moment when we got out at the Florida welcome center… We got a really cool group picture under the “Welcome To Florida” sign… Started driving again and eventually we make it to The Punk House in Tampa… The kid was pretty cool… He’s the editor of ADD Zine and I also belive (but don’t quote me) that he used to do The Rational Enquirer… He had a nice place, and it was cool to hang out and wait for the party to start… Christina decided to call her parents (bad move) because they live in Florida, and she wanted to visit them, but they sort of basically flipped out that she’d driven down to Florida with us… So she basically had to leave, go meet her grandfather (who her parents flew out from MA) and drive back home with him, leaving us somewhat stranded with two carloads of equipment and five people to fit in J’s Hundai Accent… Yep… We decided to send Nate & Brian home on the bus and have myself, hutch and J all drive home with all the eqipment stuffed in his car… Anyhow, I digress… We played the party, had a fuckin’ awesome time… It was probably the best show of the tour… Lots of people dug us… There was a really good DJ who was spinning & scratching records in the backyard between bands, and he had SKILL! We met this kid named John Kennedy and his girlfriend Lauren who was in one of the other bands at the party, and we crashed at their place… They were really good to us, as was everyone else we hung out with and crashed with…
In the morning we got up and went out to eat at this little resturant in Tampa… I thought it was sorta crappy, but oh well… Then we went to the supermarket and I got… Faygo!!! I almost died when I saw they had it, so I got a bunch of it to bring home… I was happy… Then we went back to John’s place, J drove Nate & Brian to the greyhound terminal and me and Hutch stayed behind and watched Ready 2 Rumble, which was alot better than I thought it was gonna be…
Then when J returned and the movie was over we packed up the car and began our long trip home… We drove for quite a ways, taking turns at the wheel… We stopped in Georgia at Church’s Chicken and a gas station… I bought a cowboy hat (haha, I look like Clint Black) and ate up some greasy assed fried chicken & Jalapeno Poppers… Good stuff… Then we got going again and were going to stop at The Caf Risqee, but we decided against it when we noticed it was all local boys there…
Our next and final major stop on the way home was at South of the Border, in South Carolina, where we bought fireworks and porn (very neceserry provisions, if you ask me)… Then it was all driving till we made it home, 27 hours after we left Tampa…
Nate & Brian had an adventure of their own, apparently… They met this cool hippy dude on the bus, and were hanging out with him, since he was headed to the same stop as Brian… Anyway, they were at the New York City Greyhound bus terminal, chilling with the dude they met when suddenly he dropped to the ground and started having a seizure… Scary shit… Hopefully he turned out ok, but we haven’t heard from him…
Well, that’s all I can think of and recollect for now, but if I think more, I’ll definitely add it…
